Commenting on a new study from the National Institute of Economic and Social Research which suggests that Boris Johnson's Brexit deal will leave the UK £70bn worse off than if it had remained in the EU, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie said:

"Boris Johnson's Brexit deal is even worse for the British economy than Theresa May's deal was.

"It's shameful that the Scottish Conservatives are letting Boris Johnson run wild like a bull in a china shop.

"The Liberal Democrats are the rallying point for all those who recognise that what's best for Scotland's economy is for us to be at the heart of both the UK and the EU."
